EMG structured a new website to maximize organic search traffic, increasing organic visitor volume by nearly double.

Challenge

TransAmerican Office Furniture (TAOF) is a firmly established (since 1976) office furniture purveyor. At the time TAOF had undergone a logo and style rebranding. Extract Marketing Group was contracted to further build upon the modern refresh, by building a responsive and aesthetically pleasing website redesign.

Solution

The Extract Marketing Group took design and color cues from the new palette, and began to rework existing content into a design that is easy to navigate, while creating ample “Call-to-Actions” for capturing potential new clients. Since TAOF’s catalog of vendors had in-house professional photography, we were able to build upon stunning visuals by coupling it with edgy design formatting. Time was spent building out an extensive Furniture Line archive, adding in numerous contact forms for easy connection with staff.

Web Development

Since TransAmerican Office Furniture had an existing web presence, our goal was to create streamlined navigation and an easily filterable portfolio to help customers find their desired product suite. A portfolio was created for each furniture brand, which created additional content for SEO indexing. The main landing page for the furniture lines were divided categories into: Accessories, Architectural Interiors, Casegoods, Conference/Training, Filing/Storage, Seating and Workstations. With the javascript based filter, a user can select the desired category and the portfolios sort themselves accordingly without having to load a new page, which provides ease of search and a decrease in bounce rate.
 
Extract was also poised to fulfill a client wish list of: Logo transitional splash page; which gives a clear branding cue on site load, while also doubling as a “pre-loader” for the home page content. TAOF wanted to prominently showcase their partnership with Haworth, so we created sub-pages highlighting this vendor in an appealing and symbiotic presentation.
 
With all of Extract Marketing Group’s web development projects, the website was built responsively. So regardless of platform, the site was easily viewable and maintained a consistent design, whether on mobile, tablet or PC. Extract also outfitted the backend of the website with security measures, user-friendly contact forms with instant admin notifications of new leads and much more. Using WordPress, the client would be able to make use of the CMS to make minor edits or upload additional imagery.
